I swear the years go by so fast I can’t even keep up, so I made it a goal to journal every day of 2026—and I’m bringing you along for the very beginning of this journey. I show you the planner that basically started it all (yes, I wanted an excuse to buy the super cute 2026 one from HomeGoods), and I talk about why I’m keeping it simple: little bullet points, tiny updates, nothing crazy. I just want to be able to look back and be like, “Wait… what did I do on March 25th?” and actually have an answer. Then I go stationery shopping (Daiso first, obviously) and do a full haul of everything I’m using: stickers, washi, pens, sticky notes/markers, and even a tiny stamp I got just for fun. I also show how I set up a “journaling haul” spread using my Canon ZINK printer so I can print pics from my phone and literally stick them into my pages—game changer. After that, I walk through how I’m using the planner as both a planner and a diary, how I’m experimenting with writing styles (and reminding myself it’s for fun, not perfection), and how I decorate to make it more motivating to keep going.
