This video is your sign to make little siblings for your crochet plushies—because I decided my crochet Miffy needed a tiny little sister ASAP. I start with white yarn and my 5.5 mm hook (jawline check and that pimple included), and I’m not even kidding when I say: don’t forget your stitch marker. I always start with the legs first because I love going bottom to top, and once you have one cute little leg… you already know we need two. After that, I switch to a 4.0 mm hook to bring the legs together and build out the body (the little belly is SO squishy). When it comes to stuffing, I’m not shy—I like my plushies nice and firm. I use the same method for the ears as the legs, then stuff the head to the perfect size and sew the head and body together. Arms were crocheted off camera (and definitely didn’t take me 30 minutes to sew on), and yes… we’re pretending the first face didn’t happen because I hated it and redid it. To finish, I crochet a matching hood in pink (very My Melody vibes), add ties so it can cinch tight, and top it off with a cute yellow bow. Then I put the sisters together and honestly… they’re so cute.
