Greenup Kentucky Native Kyle Fields set foot to Nashville 11 years ago, working hard at Cintas in the daytime as a delivery driver and trying his best to get his songs heard in whatever Honky Tonk bar would have him during the night hours. He has became a great friend of mine over the years and has been busting his tail playing the Broadway Strip in Nashville the last half a decade or more, hoping to pay the bills and catch a break(sometimes playing live music up to 7 - 8 hours a day). In a world of social media vitality and instant gratification, he has chose to do it the old fashion way; to keep bread on the table through a tip jar, like many of the classic american legends. He is as down to earth as they come, with some of my favorite collections of self written songs that remind you of that old time country sound we all love (check out my personal favorite song of his, “Heart Of Stone”). Anyhow, I encourage you to take time to peal through his catalog of songs and help a brother out, he wanted me to put this live performance together to help him get started on booking for this coming 2024 calendar year, he is looking to get off Broadway and into you hometown watering holes and venues, so feel free to reach out: Kylefieldsmusic@yahoo.com Band Includes Jason Hale / Bass Derek Isaacs / Lead Guitar Don Parker / Drums Ronnie Parker / Steal Guitar Chelsey Parker / Fiddle *Fun Fact, the steel guitar player is the father of both the fiddle player and the drummer! Produced by Jason Hale

About This Video

In this honky tonk session, I’m sharing “My Appalachian Lady” from my buddy Kyle Fields — a Greenup, Kentucky native who’s been grinding it out in Nashville the old-fashioned way. Kyle’s the kind of songwriter I love to put in front of y’all: real deal, down to earth, and packed full of that old time country sound that doesn’t need any gimmicks to hit you right in the chest. This one’s a straight-up love song with mountain imagery and that Appalachian pride baked into every line. Kyle’s story matters to me because it’s the story a lot of classic American legends lived — working day jobs, playing long hours on Broadway, and keeping bread on the table through a tip jar. He’s been busting his tail for years, sometimes playing 7–8 hours a day, and he’s trying to get off Broadway and into hometown venues in 2024. If you like what you hear, peel through his catalog (my personal favorite is “Heart Of Stone”) and help a brother out — this performance is part of getting him booked where folks still care about songs.
