Kindred Valley from Huntington, WV has been making waves in the Americana music scene. They are home grown and passionate about their craft, with a peaceful ora that is all their own. This was our second time meeting up to record this song, but it worked out just as it was meant to be! When we met up for the first time, our power converter kicked the bucket (this is what supplies the electricity to the instruments, amps, microphones, and audio interface) and we ran out of daylight.. This time we were able to use a Yamaha inverter generator to run this session! I've been a fan of this group for quite some time and have developed a great working relationship with Jadon (far left) who has helped me produce and engineer several songs for other artists. We hope to have a radiowv merch line out soon, and I (Draven) hope to be more active on the channel as we move forward with the radiowv brand. To all who continue to support this channel, I genuinely thank you for allowing friends and I to make a living finding these artists and sharing them with the world. God Bless you all, radiowv

About This Video

Kindred Valley came up from Huntington, West Virginia and laid down “Why I’m Crying” with me for a live session that hits you right in the chest. This song lives in that black-and-blue space—distance, confusion, and that moment where you’re staring at the wall trying to make sense of somebody who “can’t quite see through the smoke.” The hook says it plain: “you’re not here to see it, and I don’t know why I’m crying,” and that’s the whole weight of it—knowing something’s done, but still feeling it anyway. This was our second attempt at getting this one on tape, and it worked out exactly like it was meant to. The first time, my power converter kicked the bucket and we ran out of daylight. This time we brought a Yamaha inverter generator and got the session powered the right way so the instruments, mics, and interface could do their job. I’ve been a fan of these guys for a long time, and I’ve built a real working relationship with Jadon—he’s helped me produce and engineer songs for other artists too. If you support what I do here, thank you for letting me and my friends make a living finding these Appalachian and Americana voices and sharing them with the world.
