In this video I put the Adam Audio D3V desktop monitors on my desk for two full weeks and tested them in the exact kind of setup most of us actually have: a small room with minimal acoustic treatment, a big desk, and the speakers pushed up against the wall. The first time I hit play on a track I know inside out, I had that “Whoa” moment: it didn’t feel like sound was coming from the left and right boxes. It felt like the music was just… in front of me, like being at a gig or in a club. I break down why that happens (the side passive radiators) and why it’s different from the usual front/back ported mini monitors that can sound super directional.
