Then life got in the way again. I've done this more times than I can count. But I always came back to this one specific game. And after 18 months of unemployment, thousands of job applications, and the slow collapse of a 20 year career in web development — I finally understand why. The game is called Goth Girls vs The Goo. It's a fast paced action platformer with a dark gothic aesthetic, original music composed by me, and a world I've been building in my head for years. It's pixel art. It's atmospheric. It's a little campy. And it is completely, unapologetically mine. This video is the announcement. The commitment. The line in the sand.
