After building several DIY synth modules, I hit a wall. The sound wasn’t where I wanted it, the designs felt messy, and the layouts were bigger than they needed to be. So instead of tweaking around the edges, I decided to start over. In this video, I take my BeatMe module and shrink it down to roughly a third of its original size as a design experiment. This becomes the starting point for rethinking my earlier modules — DrumFck and SnareDevil — from scratch, with a focus on cleaner layouts, tighter designs, and better sound. This is less about optimization and more about resetting the whole approach: smaller modules, simpler designs, and a much clearer direction going forward. If you’re into DIY synths, Eurorack-style modules, Arduino audio projects, or experimental electronic instruments, this series documents the entire process — including the moments where starting over is the smartest move. ► Watch the full DIY Arduino Modular Synth series: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLXlhPLEraM1Ce37QVYKCeCZZVWB0gqG6I #diysynth #arduino #eurorack #electronics #modularsynth #sounddesign
