In this video, I wanted to see if pickleball has really gone mainstream—or if it just feels that way because we live and breathe gear every day. So I put together a quick quiz and asked coworkers at other sports companies how much pickleball knowledge they’ve picked up from all the social media buzz and “pickleball having its moment.” We kick things off by setting a starting score, then jump into some of the classic tells of whether someone’s actually been around the sport lately. From there, I challenge them to try saying pickleball brands and names (which is honestly one of the funniest ways to find out who’s actually paying attention). Then we get into a big gear-adjacent question: how many pickleballs are out there—and how many items we actually carry in our ball category. The takeaway is simple: pickleball is absolutely everywhere, but awareness comes in levels. Even if someone can’t nail the brands or the ball count, it’s clear the sport is getting harder to ignore—and that’s a pretty good sign it’s moving beyond the niche phase.
