About This Video

In this video, I’m showing you how I sketch from start to finish in a really cozy, no-pressure way đŸŒ± I go through my full flow—from the first messy lines to the more “okay wait this is actually working” stage—so you can see how I build a sketch without overthinking every mark. It’s the kind of process I always come back to for sketchbook diaries and face/portrait studies, especially when I just want to draw and breathe a little. I break it into chapters so it’s easy to follow, and the big takeaway is that sketching doesn’t have to look perfect in the beginning (mine definitely doesn’t). I focus on getting the structure down first, then slowly refining shapes and features, and only after that do I clean up what needs cleaning. If you want to practice along, I also link my reference boards, my full supply list, and a Skillshare free trial so you can keep learning in a chill way—plus my Meeden discount code if you’re restocking tools for your sketchbook era.
