About This Video

This is my ultimate sketchbook tour from 2018 to 2025, and it’s basically me letting you flip through my whole art journey with me—finished pieces, random studies, weird experiments, and yes… the messy unfinished pages too. I start from my early doodles and portrait practice, then go into the era where I was super focused on realism and photorealism studies (like really trying to “prove” I could render). You’ll see how my portraits got more detail-heavy over time, and how my sketchbooks changed depending on what I was obsessed with that year. I also talk about the not-so-cute parts of improving, like my burnout phase around 2022, and how that affected what I made (and what I didn’t make). After that, you’ll see me slowly shift away from strict photorealism and start exploring more stylized portraits and character-focused studies. My biggest takeaway is that your sketchbooks don’t have to be perfect to be meaningful—progress looks like unfinished pages, awkward phases, and trying again in a new direction until your art style starts feeling like you.
