How To Tie The Constrictor Knot

In this mini episode, I’ll show you how to tie the constrictor knot. The constrictor knot is one of the best knots to use for binding objects together. Once tied and put under load, this knot almost always needs to be cut off. It's a handy knot to know for sailing, binding rope, logs, binding objects on a lanyard as well as many bushcraft and survival situations. Also known as the Clove Hitch, Double Half Hitch, Spar Hitch and Rolling Hitch. A little about the channel: Welcome to my adventure channel, Old Southern Pine! I was born and raised in Georgia and grew up, hunting, fishing, bushcrafting, camping, sailing and pretty much anything you could think to do in the great outdoors. I now live in Minnesota and the long, bitter cold winters are not at all something I’m used to but no one wants to put up with me being stuck inside for 9 months out of the year so we endeavor to persevere, brave the elements, bear, mosquitoes, Bigfoot, chupacabra, squirrel attacks and whatever else we encounter on our adventures.
