I love single DD IEMs, but getting a truly great one above the budget bracket is surprisingly hard—so in this video I break down why the DUNU Kima 2 actually stands out. DUNU sent this over for my honest thoughts, and at $120 this is the kind of single dynamic driver set that fully uses what makes the config special. I also talk about the limited green variant (999 units), because it’s basically a callback to the older DUNU Vernus vibe. I go through the unboxing (DUNU being DUNU: absolutely stacked accessories, big case, good tips, plus an acrylic stand), then the build and fit. The metal alloy shell with the matte finish feels premium and resists fingerprints, and the fit is stable enough for long sessions—seal is decent, not the best. Sound-wise, I’m not even joking: the Kima 2 became my new “neutral” reference target. Bass is linear, tight, and textured; the midrange is honestly some of the best under $200; and the treble is silky smooth, airy enough, and never overdone. It scales with better sources, but it’s totally fine off a dongle, and it’s one of the best volume-scaling IEMs I’ve tried.
