About This Video

Moritz is a boutique Hong Kong brand, and the story is wild: it’s basically built around a dude who was making speaker systems at 12. In this video, I review their Moritz Paradise—a $729 tribrid with 2DD + 4BA + dual bone conduction—and I break down everything from the unboxing, build, fit, and the tuning switches. The package is solid for the price: big box, a premium-feeling case with dividers, a soft pouch, tips, paperwork, a modular cable, and the IEMs. The shells are all-resin with a really nice flowery pattern under orange resin, but my main physical gripe is pressure buildup that can make my ears feel clogged until I yawn/swallow and reseat them. Sound-wise, the Paradise is a straight-up fun V-shape with “insanely good” bass and surprisingly strong technicalities—two things that usually don’t show up together. In Natural mode, the bass is thick, textured, punchy, and borderline basshead, yet it stays tight enough to keep details intact (the kick/bass work on “Mariana’s Trench” is my go-to example). Mids aren’t the focus, but they’re not sunken, and the upper mids are more forward than you’d expect. Treble is sparkly and detailed, but can get edgy/metallic around the mid-treble (that 8k-ish presence is real), so it’s a love-it-or-hate-it thing. Bottom line: it’s my current favorite V-shaped IEM—my new standard for big, engaging, technical bass under a grand.
