The Gift of Life: A Donor's Story

Seven years ago, Mr Chan was told that he had only a year left to live. His only hope was a liver transplant. Thankfully, his daughter was a match and made the courageous decision to donate part of her liver to give her father a new lease of life. Under the meticulous care of the multidisciplinary team at the National University Centre for Organ Transplantation (NUCOT), Mr Chan successfully underwent a liver transplant and both father and daughter went home well less than two weeks after surgery. We are happy to see that Mr Chan and his daughter continue to lead active lives today.
