‘Drawing is the perfect tool for me to flesh out crazy ideas…’ An animated response to the sketchbooks of one of the world’s leading contemporary artists, Do Ho Suh. Born in South Korea, Do Ho Suh spent decades working in New York, before moving to London. His work asks questions about the meaning of home and identity: what do we carry with us as we move around the world? Every artwork in Suh’s practice starts on paper, often in small sketchbooks: personal, unconstrained spaces in which he explores his past, present and future. This film explores some of those sketches.
