In 2016 - 2017 photographer Danny North visited the Hebridean island of Eigg and started a project to capture the people and their way of life. The portraits that emerged capture the islanders in their homes and the incredible beauty of the island itself. This film explores how Danny got to know, and fall in love with, the small tight-knit community of only 100 residents and how his year on the island is ultimately a story about connection, community and belonging. Produced by National Galleries of Scotland and Edinburgh Film Company Special thanks to Danny North and the community on Eigg Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/nationalgalleriesscot/ Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/nationalgalleriesscot TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@nationalgalleriesscot
