Right now there are two tools leading the market for agentic coding: Claude Code and Google Antigravity. I spent ~100 hours testing both so you don’t have to, and the honest truth is they’re both insanely powerful—but they shine in different places. In this video I break down how each one works (terminal-first CLI vs standalone IDE), where you actually build, how model choice changes everything (Opus vs Haiku, Gemini Pro vs Flash), and why the “tool” is often free while the real cost is tokens and limits. Then I run three live tests side-by-side. First, a one-shot full-stack habit tracker: Claude Code gave me stronger logic and structure, while Antigravity came back with better “taste” and UI feel once it fixed a blank-page issue. Second, a plan-mode research workflow to generate a 3-page SMB AI trends PDF: Claude Code’s output was more thoughtful, better styled, and it cited sources—so it won that round. Third, a one-prompt landing page build: Claude Code had better copy and structure, but Antigravity’s design depth and motion felt more real. My final verdict: if design + speed (and a free tier) are your priority, Antigravity is hard to ignore. If you care about code quality, configurability, and production reliability—plus faster shipping cadence—I personally stick with Claude Code. The real question isn’t “which is better,” it’s “which tool (or combo) is best for this job?”
