My home was FILTHY, y’all, and instead of trying to do everything at once, I fought it the only way I know how: one space at a time, room by room. I start with a couple “momentum” tasks that always help me—lighting a candle, starting laundry, and jumping on the kitchen. Dishes, counters, sink, and all the little kid lunchbox things that somehow multiply overnight. I also share a few of my real-life go-tos: Pink Stuff for a nasty sink (nothing else compares for that before-and-after), Wyman’s granite cleaner with a microfiber cloth, and a quick trick for getting permanent marker off the counter (alcohol worked when the Pink Stuff didn’t). From there I move into the living room, keep laundry moving, and pick back up the next day—because sometimes that’s just how it goes, especially with a preschooler who’s sick. You’ll also hear me talk through making the house functional (not just “pretty for the internet”), like my kitchen rug dilemma and why an anti-fatigue mat still matters at the sink.
