About This Video

In this video, I’m continuing my maternity leave planning series with part 2, and we’re getting super practical. I walk you through how I map out my daily tasks and zoom out to a month-at-a-glance view so nothing falls through the cracks while I’m out. The countdown is officially on, so this is all about taking the big, overwhelming “maternity leave prep” idea and turning it into a clear plan that I can actually follow. I share how I like to organize what needs to happen each day (the little repeatable tasks that keep our classroom running smoothly) and how I use a monthly overview to pace out bigger to-dos. My goal is to make things as easy as possible for whoever is stepping in, but also to give myself peace of mind—because I still want my students to feel secure in our routines even when I’m not there. If you’re a teacher trying to plan maternity leave (or honestly any extended absence), this is the kind of structure that helps you stay ahead without trying to do everything at once.
