About This Video

In this video I walk you through the full origin story of MorningCoach®—how it went from a painful “two book sales” moment to nearly 6,000 episodes and a global, member-sponsored community. I start back in 2001 when I wrote my first book while I was running aerospace companies and making good money… but I was miserable. Reading The Power of Now cracked something open for me and eventually led to Get Out of Neutral. Then came the $40,000 self-publishing disaster—errors all over the book, sticky notes in hundreds of copies, and the walk of shame back to the car after selling only two books at my first event. From there, a drunken conversation in 2005 pushed me to do a “morning message.” I bought morningcoach.com, learned Dreamweaver from a Barnes & Noble book in 24 hours, and started running early-morning conference calls—until the lines crashed and I had to pivot. That’s when I stumbled into “podcasting” before most people even knew what it was, recorded episodes the messy way, and eventually got featured by iTunes—top 20 in the world. The real takeaway is this: I built MorningCoach through failure after failure, by staying focused on structure over hype. Even today, the heart of this is still influence-free—no sponsors, no hidden incentives—just professionals building clarity, energy, purpose, and a true lifestyle mastery system together.
