In this video I’m taking you through a really beginner-friendly way to sew a jersey dress using the Cashmerette Turner Dress pattern. If jersey has ever felt a bit “ooh, that’s stretchy and scary” to you, don’t worry—I show you the whole process from start to finish so you can just sew along with me. We go from cutting out your pieces, right through to stitching everything up and getting a lovely wearable dress at the end. I also chat through the kind of things that make sewing jersey so much easier: taking your time, keeping things simple, and not overthinking it. The Turner is a great option if you want something comfortable, flattering, and very “real life” wearable—especially if you’re sewing plus size and you want a pattern that’s drafted properly for curves.
