In this video I’m doing a proper little summer sewing catch-up, with a look at what I made, what I’m wearing, and what I’m thinking about stitching next as we roll into Autumn. I talk you through my Tilly and the Buttons Lyra Dress – it’s such a lovely pattern because you can choose different sleeve and hem lengths, so it’s easy to make it suit your style (and the weather). It’s very much a “wear it now, layer it later” kind of make, which is exactly what I need at this time of year. I also share an outfit combo with my New Look 6672 top paired with Halara trousers, plus I mention a few other patterns and makes that have been in my sewing orbit: Butterick 6702, a Lekala S4110 summer dress, and Lekala #4792. It’s a relaxed review of my summer sewing, a few buys, and then the fun bit—my Autumn plans—because once the leaves start turning, my sewing brain immediately starts thinking about what’s practical, what’s cosy, and what I’m excited to try next.
