It’s spring break week here in Alabama, so I went live while I got my son Josh and his little friend out the house and off the games. Josh is an only child, so I’m always trying to find him something fun to do (and somebody to do it with), and this day we pulled up to Big Time Entertainment in the Oxford area. It’s a big arcade-style spot with bowling, laser tag, mini golf, go-karts, and even axe throwing—yes, real axes… and no, my child is not doing that. We started out on the mini golf course, and I’m not even gonna act like I know anything about golf—I’m just following the numbers and cheering them on. I was also giving my little “mom coaching” the whole time: don’t hit it too hard, hold the club tight, line it up, and keep it moving because people be waiting. My favorite part was the waterfall area—so relaxing I literally said I could put a bed right there and take a nap. Overall, it was just one of those simple, real-life moments: getting outside, making memories, and savoring the time because these kids grow up so fast.
