The Vérité is ZMF's current flagship headphone. It brings a lot of the detail and technicalities I felt were missing from other ZMF models and combines it with the beautiful craftsmanship and ZMF tone which results in a fantastic package. Thanks to Mr Zebra/Three Kings for providing these for review! His Twitch: https://www.twitch.tv/threekiings Also HUGE thanks to Zach and Bevin for providing all the pads used for testing! Buy Vérité here: https://www.zmfheadphones.com/zmf-originals/verite Thanks to Resolve over at The Headphone Show for providing GRAS 43AG measurements for this review! Do not take these measurements as infallible, because they are flawed. There are some pieces of the measurements that are caused by flaws in the device itself such as a dip, peak, dip pattern from 4.5K-6K~ and some general imbalance due to sealing issues. https://imgur.com/a/DdpJ7ew Twitter: https://twitter.com/MaxSettingsYT Want to loan me a headphone or contact me? About This Video

In this review I’m finally diving into ZMF’s current flagship, the ZMF Vérité. I spent a solid two to three weeks focusing on this one because it’s honestly a complicated headphone—mostly due to how much the sound changes with pads and amp pairing. I also shout out Mr. Zebra/Three Kings for the loaner, and Zach and Bevin at ZMF for sending a pile of pads (including the unreleased Co-Pilot pad) so I could properly test what actually works. I cover the basics—pricing starts around $2,500, 300 ohm beryllium dynamic driver, and weight that varies by wood (my unit was 463g). Build is classic ZMF: gorgeous wood cups, metal grills, and the comfort strap system. The big takeaway is pad selection: I don’t like either of the stock pads (too warm/dark with a big upper-mid recession), and my recommended pad is the BE2 perforated suede (special request). With that pad, the Vérité lands closer to a “less severe Audeze-ish” tuning: near-flat bass, still slightly recessed mids, and treble that’s a bit dark but way more neutral than stock. Technically, it’s very detailed for a dynamic—just a hair behind HD800 and Utopia—while being more punchy and engaging than other ZMF dynamics. If you want ZMF tone and craftsmanship but with more flagship-level technicalities and energy, the Vérité gets my recommendation.
