It’s been exactly two years since my last home office makeover, and after moving into a new rented apartment, I finally gave my workspace a proper 2025 refresh. In this video I start from an empty room and rebuild everything step by step: frosted window vinyl for privacy (and softer light), patching and sanding the walls (yes, it gets messy), and a two-tone paint job with a dark, almost-black accent wall plus light gray everywhere else. The light gray helps bounce daylight around for my plants—although if I’m being honest, I kind of think white would’ve been the better call. The black wall though? I still love the look, even if it stains way too easily. The centerpiece is the BALOLO Desk Cockpit—my dream desk for organization and productivity. I show the full build, the app presets, and the grid mounting system underneath, then I dial in cable management with their new cable tray (seriously a game changer). From there, I mount my LG UltraGear 45" ultrawide on the BenQ arm, add a Philips Hue Play glow behind it, and bring the setup to life with wall panels, wall storage, posters, and a lot more greenery—including a Millsbo greenhouse that’s been perfect for humidity and growth. The goal is simple: cozy, functional, clean—and future-proof for upgrades.
