Gourmands always get boxed into fall and winter, but sometimes a girl just wants a sweet treat in spring and summer—without feeling like she’s wearing a thick caramel blanket. In this video I’m sharing the light, airy, warm-weather-friendly gourmands I actually reach for when it’s getting warmer: the ones that give you that addictive sweetness without turning cloying or choking you out. I go through a few different “spring gourmand” moods: popcorn-cotton-candy sweetness (with a warning to go easy on the sprays), an airy vanilla that smells like powdered sugar and fried batter, a fluffy lemon-drizzle vanilla that I consider my spring/summer version of a heavier winter lemon vanilla, and a chocolate-berry cake scent that stays bouncy and not dense. I also talk about a super unique apricot tea-to-apricot vanilla scent that I think is more sophisticated (but definitely sample first), and I finish with a candy-sugar fragrance that I love most for layering—especially with sandalwood or iris—because that’s where the magic happens.
