All are excellent cocktails if you're looking to expand past the usual rum drinks in the Tiki and Tropical cocktail universe. You die-hard Trader Vic fans may know the *Honi Honi* as multiple cocktails. Early on, Vic shared a Honi Honi cocktail that featured rum, apricot brandy and lemon juice. In 1972 he shared a *Honi Honi* that used Mai Tai Mix and blended whisky. Another interesting thing of note is that the *Honi Honi* is the only drink in the 1972 bartenders guide to call for a "blended whisky" and that phrase is not mentioned anywhere else in the book. While some might be quick to call out that "blended whisky" must mean a blended Scotch Whisky or Canadian Whisky, in early books Vic called for Bourbon to be used in cocktails and referred to them as "Whisky" or "Whiskies." He also called to use Four Roses and referred to it as a blended whisky but most likely he is calling for bourbon to be used that is not a straight bourbon.
