The Garden Gallery still exists today, but you'll only be able to visit if staying at the Shades of Green Resort which is restricted to US Armed Services members and family members. Originally, the "Golf Resort" opened as one of the 3 original hotels at Walt Disney World. Unlike the Polynesian and the Contemporary, the Golf Resort didn't last long until the name was changed to the "Disney Inn."
