In the United States, there are clear labeling rules for age statements and the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB) approves these labels. Yet there are instances where labels are approved that are not clearly labeled. Labels that can be misleading to consumers and even if you know what to look for, the fine print can get you. What does slow aged even mean? And why can a label put a "Up To" aged statement? Another confusing label trend are the ones that simply show a large number that represents something other than age. Ideally, the numbers on a label should be clean and no fine print should be needed or even allowed.
