We’re in Orlando, Florida for our daughter’s second birthday, staying at Universal Studios, and our little nightly tradition has been ordering food we can’t get back home in Maine once she goes to bed. This night’s “out-of-Maine” pick was Wingstop—my first time trying it—so we did a full little hotel-room taste test with tenders, wings, fries, and (most importantly) the ranch everyone hypes up. I ordered four tenders in garlic parm and classic hot, and we also had a wings combo (all drums) in mango habanero with their seasoned fries. The fries were honestly so good (and so hot), and the ranch lived up to the hype—like, I got multiple cups because I’d heard it was “special,” and it really is. Flavor-wise, garlic parm was my favorite, and I loved the breading-to-chicken ratio on the tenders. The only downside for me was that I could taste something kind of “chemical” in some of the sauces, so I’m curious if that’s just me being sensitive. Overall though, it was a positive, very yummy experience—and definitely different from Buffalo Wild Wings.
