In this vlog, I’m doing a little “toddler switcheroo” at Universal Studios Orlando—my husband went into the park during nap time to scope out what I should prioritize, and then I headed in solo for a quick afternoon. Come along with me as I follow his ride recommendations and soak up all the themed details (because honestly, the commitment to theme parks will never stop amazing me… even when it’s just pure heat, heat, heat). First up was Harry Potter world in Diagon Alley, where I rode Gringotts and had the best time. I also shared a hilarious-but-painful throwback from our first trip: my husband was only halfway through the Harry Potter books and accidentally spoiled Dumbledore’s death from the “Daily Prophet” newspapers in the line—there was truly no coming back from that. After that, I hit The Mummy (no filming because it’s a full-blown rolly coaster), and it was so epic. Before heading back to my boys, I grabbed some fries with a special sauce situation, checked in on a sweet text about them snuggled up watching The Lego Movie, and wrapped up my little solo park moment feeling so grateful for the fun.
