This vlog is basically the end of an era for us. After six years in the apartment that raised our family—through infertility, IVF, finding out we were pregnant with our miracle girl, bringing her home, and learning how to be parents here—we’re officially moving out. It’s the Friday of our very last weekend, and even though our new house still isn’t ready (spoiler: it’s not), I had to cut the cord for my own brain. We pack, prep for movers, take apart furniture, patch and sand walls, and I try not to fully spiral while staring at the echo-y, empty rooms—especially Annie’s nursery. I picked out every single thing in there, down to the rug, and seeing it bare is… a lot. We also pop over to our new Maine house for a renovation update, and seeing the freshly refinished floors across the first floor honestly shocked me—in the best way. The warm wood stain is so good, the poly is done, and it finally feels like the first real step toward making it ours. Then Sunday hits with that “impending doom” feeling: the bittersweet, sentimental last clean-out, Goodwill piles, fridge clean, final wipe-downs, and me repeating that we are dying in this new house because I am never moving again.
