Happy final moving day. In this vlog, I come to our new coastal Maine house early (bagel in hand) because I wanted Annie’s room to feel familiar the second she walked in. I share her finished paint color (the same pink she has at my parents’ house) and the creamy white we chose (Mascarpone—my mom uses it everywhere and I totally get why). Then it’s full-on “stay on task” mode: I’m dragging furniture carefully, setting up a little play area, and trying to make the main level feel safe and less chaotic before my crew arrives. I also show the real-life scramble of move-in day—finding the blackout curtains, sound machine, monitor, crib sheet, and my beloved temperature reader (if you know, you know… newborn phase made me a little intense about room temp). And then, the moment: snow falling, Christmas music, pulling into our driveway like… oh my gosh, we’re freaking homeowners. Watching Annie explore, climb, and settle in made it all feel real in the best way—cozy, emotional, and very “okay, this is home base now.”
