This little “morning in our life” is exactly what it sounds like—me trying to get my day going in real time, with coffee first (always) and a toddler running the show. I’m in the kitchen doing that not-so-graceful boiling water pour—because that pot is never an easy pour—and yes, I always manage to get water everywhere. I also make an extra pot because my brother (Uncle Gabe) is in town, and mornings just work better when everyone’s caffeinated. From there it’s the usual cozy chaos: I’m asking my little guy if he wants coffee (he doesn’t, obviously), realizing my toddler has likely stolen my hairbrush and stashed it in her room, and just rolling with it. The main mission of the morning is helping my brother reset his sleep schedule. I hear his alarm go off, I know he shut it off, and I also know he won’t remember doing that—so I go wake him up. It’s a quick vlog, but it’s very “real life” Maine mom energy: coffee, family in town, and a whole lot of making it work.
