This video is basically my dream cozy fall weekend in Maine. I start out at my favorite kids thrift store, Lots for Tots, because Annie is suddenly so long (tiny waist, long torso problems) and we needed a little Florida wardrobe refresh for our Universal trip without buying a ton of brand-new stuff. I ended up spending about $40 and got a couple dresses, a bathing suit, and a bunch of sweet tops—Old Navy, Carter’s, Cat & Jack, and even a few Hannah Anderson finds. And then the best part: I got $80 back for the boxes of outgrown stuff I brought in… so, girl math, we didn’t spend money. Back at home, we lean fully into fall vibes—Sunday reset mode, a sparkly clean house, and then I make a small-batch apple crisp with apples we picked earlier this week. I also show you Annie’s first embroidered L.L.Bean backpack (I cannot handle how cute it is), and I share what I’m packing in it for the plane—like a Bluey magnet activity set—plus I ask for your best flying-with-a-2-year-old hacks. We finish with afternoon coffee, peppermint creamer (Jack did that), and apple crisp that honestly might not survive until Annie wakes up.
