In this video I’m sharing a really simple way I organise my sewing using laminating, and honestly it’s one of those little things that makes life in the sewing room so much easier. If you’re fed up of printing the same pattern pages again and again because they get worn, ripped or scruffy from constant use, laminating is such a good fix. I show how I use a basic home laminator and pouches to protect the bits I reach for all the time, so they stay clean, readable and sturdy. The big takeaway is that laminating can actually save you money over time, because you’re not constantly re-printing and re-taping things back together. I also chat about keeping everything together neatly (I use a wire ring holder for that), so your pattern pieces or reference sheets aren’t floating around the sewing room. It’s a quick, fun job to do, and once you’ve laminated a few of your most-used items you’ll wonder why you didn’t do it sooner.
