About This Video

In this video I show you a really fun way to use ChatGPT with films to create your own language lessons—especially on days when you’re not motivated to “study” but you still want to practise. The idea is simple: I pick a movie I actually want to watch (in the video I used John Wick) and I use a ChatGPT prompt to turn scenes into bite-sized reading and vocabulary practice. It’s realistic, it’s flexible, and it doesn’t pretend to be a miracle method. I’m using this as a practical routine for learning French: you can focus on vocabulary that appears in the film, practise reading with short summaries or dialogues, and build a mini-lesson around what you’ve just watched. The big takeaway is that motivation often comes from making the input enjoyable—films give you context, repetition, and a reason to care. If you want to learn with AI, this is one of my favourite “low-friction” exercises to keep consistency without burning out.
