Recently I visited Albania and I wanted to share my language insights dealing with language anxiety. However it was an amazing, AMAZING experience and I highly recommend visiting the country! Here are my favourite spots + tips I'd love to share: - Ksamil (amazing beaches, there are many tourists, overall one of the most expensive places we have seen). - Sarandë (in which you'll find Ksamil) is a splendid location, fun nightlife, delicious typical food and the people are super open to tourists, many speak Italian and English. It's an area in constant development, new buildings are under construction and prices are slowly going up. - Gjirokastër was one of the most beautiful places I went to - it's a UNESCO world heritage site, with the Old Bazaar, Castle and typical food. We also saw a 'bunker/museum" and there I also met an amazing restaurater (restaurant owner) and he shared food advice with us; in addition to this he spoke Polish a little so we had a lovely chat. - Butrint was another UNESCO site worth visiting (especially if you're curious about Greek/Roman history). ________________________________________ INSTAGRAM: @llemonizi BUSINESS ENQUIRIES: lemonizienglish@gmail.com ______________________________________ 🍋 Learn English with the British Council*: https://actv.at/25MX/77846 🍋 Elsa Speak discount* www.elsaspeak.com/amb/Paulinauryjasz (-85% on a lifetime membership or -40% on a one-year membership) ______________________________________ WHO AM I? About This Video

In this video I sit down for a really sincere talk about language and social anxiety—especially that very specific feeling of “I know the words, but my body panics.” I share what came up for me during my recent trip to Albania, because traveling is such a real-life language test: you’re tired, you’re in new places, and suddenly even simple interactions can feel huge. My main point is that anxiety doesn’t mean you’re “bad at languages” or that you’re not progressing—it just means your nervous system is doing its thing, and we need realistic strategies (not miracle methods) to work with it. I also chat about Albania itself because it genuinely surprised me in the best way. I recommend places like Ksamil (gorgeous beaches but more touristy and pricey), Sarandë (fun nightlife, great food, lots of people speaking Italian/English, and it’s developing fast), Gjirokastër (one of my favorites—UNESCO, old bazaar, castle, and a lovely moment chatting with a restaurant owner), and Butrint (another UNESCO site if you like Greek/Roman history). If you’re dealing with language anxiety, I hope this video makes you feel less alone and more confident taking small, doable steps in real conversations.
