Right folks, in this video I’m giving you my initial thoughts on what used to be PreSonus Studio One Pro 7 and is now Fender Studio Pro 8. Yeah, the name change has got people moaning on forums, but honestly I’m not bothered—it's a name. All I care about is: does it work, and does it do what I need for making loud, heavy stuff at home? I jump into my (now) Fender account page, show you what’s included, and point out there’s a mix of rebranded Fender/PreSonus bits plus third‑party extras. I talk through a few things I’m genuinely interested in grabbing, like the Newfangled Audio stuff, and I also mention Safari Pedals because I keep seeing them pop up. Then I load the DAW and show what’s changed: the new look with the “boxed” UI, the overview navigation tool, the channel overview strip, and a few workflow tweaks like plugins opening with a single click. Big win for me: it pulled in my recent files and my templates straight away, which is something that’s usually a pain on upgrades. I’ve not hit any bugs yet, but I’ve only been tinkering a few hours here and there. So far so good—and I’m looking forward to diving deeper into the new guitar/bass goodies like Mustang Native and Rumble Native.
