Hello lovely YT community! I am finally back and in this video I have decided to get inspired from vintage colour wheel and create my own. I guess this is not a classic colour wheel as all the colours I assembled are separate watercolours from various brands rather than mixes between each other. I wanted to create this wheel both for colour reference as well as charming decoration for my art studio. I have linked all the brands and names in case if you are curious. Most of which are handmade from small brands and I enjoy using them a lot. I also wanted to include some factory brands to have a mix. I hope this video will inspire you and perhaps you could create your own colour palette wheel? :) As usual please like this video if you enjoy it. It also helps my videos to reach wider audience. 🌛LITTLE SELF PROMO Website shop: https://www.kriksis.art I just had my last shop update of the year where I am selling new postcards and Calmtober 2025 zine + original art. About This Video

In this video I finally sit down with a very cozy (and slightly ambitious) plan: swatching 64 individual watercolours to build my own vintage-inspired palette wheel. I’m taking inspiration from a vintage colour wheel, but I’m not mixing paints to create transitions—each “slice” is a separate pan from various brands. For me, that’s the fun part: seeing how different pigments behave side by side, and creating a reference I can actually use when I’m art journaling or planning a calm sketchbook spread. I also wanted this wheel to be more than just practical. I’m making something that can live in my studio as a little piece of charming decoration—like a gentle reminder to slow down, make tea, and paint. Most of the colours I use are handmade from small brands (I genuinely enjoy them a lot), but I also include a few factory brands so it’s a realistic mix of what many of us have in our collections. My main takeaway: you don’t need a “perfect” set—if you swatch thoughtfully, you can curate a palette that feels vintage, soft, and you.
