In this review I put the Grownsy Baby Food Maker on the counter and tested it like I do with any other gadget—simple design, real-world results, and whether it actually saves you time. It’s a compact all-in-one unit with a main container (blade inside), a steaming basket for veggies/meat, and a side water reservoir with a red fill line that’s good for about 30 minutes of steaming. On the front you get five buttons: on/off, steam, sterilize, manual, and auto, so you can either hold-to-blend for total control or let it pulse automatically. For actual use, I found the timing straightforward and accurate: most fruits/veggies landed around 15 minutes, and meat can go up to about 25 minutes. I tested potatoes and sweet potato (15 minutes and done), plus carrots for a quick “carrot sauce” style puree—steam in the basket, then dump everything into the container and blend. The key tip is don’t toss the leftover steaming liquid in the bottom; I use it (or breast milk/water) to dial in the consistency. Cleanup is also a big win because the container and blade come apart easily, so you’re not stuck scrubbing for an hour. My main downside is the connection at the bottom feels a bit wobbly, but in my use it hasn’t caused issues—just be careful reinstalling the blade. For under 80 bucks, I gave it a solid score.
