About This Video

When you’re tracking a rental fleet at scale, the “just use Bouncie” advice gets outdated fast—especially once you’re running a ton of EVs. In this video I break down the exact system I use to track 300+ Teslas in one place: Standard Fleet. Tesla for Business doesn’t give me enough info, and I need something that lets me see the whole lot, drill into a specific car, and actually manage operations without jumping between apps. I show you what I’m looking at day-to-day: live location, VIN/name, battery percentage, exact miles, tire pressures, last seen, and service alerts. The service alerts are a big deal because we’ll usually know a car was in an accident before the guest even tells us, and we can react immediately. I also use Standard Fleet for basic controls—unlock and start—so when I’m walking the lot, I’m not even opening the Tesla app. The real “copy me” part is virtual access and charging accountability. I use their ChargeKey setup to issue time-bounded virtual keys (instead of handing out physical key cards or giving full Tesla app access), and it lets me bill supercharging to the customer right away. At 300 cars, missing even 20% of supercharging adds up, so we built it so unpaid charging can suspend the key—no more falling behind on reimbursements.
