What’s going on guys, Kevin here. In this video I’m helping my cousin Carlos build his dream gaming PC—basically a $3000-ish monster build—and I take you with us from Micro Center all the way to the first boot. We’re picking parts like the case, storage, PSU, and GPU, and we even ran into that moment where the cooler we originally wanted wasn’t going to fit, so we had to pivot to an NZXT Kraken setup mounted at the top. I also talk about how I’m probably gonna cop a microphone for my camera because I’ve been filming without one and I know it’s not the best. Once we’re back, I start the build by mounting the MSI X670E Tomahawk WiFi, installing the Samsung 1TB SSD, dropping in the AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D (which was sold out everywhere around us, so it was ordered ahead), and then throwing in the absolute unit of a GPU—the 4070 Ti Super. The build posts to BIOS, we confirm the 32GB of RAM shows up, and then we get it ready for Windows. After that, we test it by running Black Ops 6 to make sure it’s not crashing. Big takeaway: cable management is the hardest part and it sucks, but building your own is still a dub. I’ll say it again—never buy a prebuilt, they overprice it and you’ll end up with crappy parts. Build it yourself and use videos (mine included) to help.
