In this video I’m sharing my recent favourites and fails — beauty and lifestyle edition — because it’s been a few months since my last favourites video and I’ve been playing around with a lot of new things. I’m talking skincare first (because my skincare luck has honestly been so good lately), then I get into makeup, hair, fragrance, and a few cozy fall lifestyle picks like fashion, candles, and of course a book. For skincare, I’ve been loving a super gentle double-cleanse combo (the Beplain mung bean cleansing balm + the City Beauty gentle cleanser), plus a barrier-repair nighttime moisturizer that feels rich but melts down like a gel. I also share a sunscreen that wears beautifully under makeup (as long as I let it set for 10–15 minutes), lip sleeping masks that actually make me wake up with soft lips, and a hand cream that seriously helped my itchy dermatitis. Then I get into my current lip combo obsession (Rhode + a little Laneige moment), a bronzer that’s as easy as everyone says it is, and a powder that finally blurs and sets my under-eyes the way I need. I wrap it up with a couple fails — including a holiday body wash that didn’t smell like sugar cookies to me, and an exfoliating acid that just kept breaking me out — plus a book “fail-ish” that had a weird running joke that totally took me out of the story.
