In this video I’m walking you through my simple, everyday makeup routine—aka what I’m actually doing on a workday or when I’m heading out—while testing a few new-to-me products alongside my current faves. I start with the Refy Glow and Sculpt Primer (I normally skip primer), and I even do a half-face test so I can see how everything wears with and without it. For complexion I try the Supergoop Protect(tint) Skin Tint (finally in Canada!), and I talk about how I like to keep product away from my under eyes because the more you pack on, the more fine lines show. From there I go in with my ride-or-die Tarte Shape Tape (two shades—one to brighten, one for coverage), test the Saie Dew Bronzer in Salt, and set with the Laura Mercier Ultra Blur powder (the original wasn’t my fave, so I wanted to see if this one was better). I keep the eyes super simple with a soft base shade, my Makeup by Mario bronzer through the crease, and my favorite everyday sparkle from the Morphe Rose to Fame palette. At the end, I give you my honest take: the lip combo (MAC Cool Spice + Cool Teddy) is a win, the Gucci blush is a really pretty everyday peach, and the Fenty Demi’Glow highlight is still my favorite. The Refy primer and the Gucci mascara weren’t really for me, and I had some patchiness/peeling that I think is more my skin than the tint—so I’ll keep playing with prep and products.
