This vlog is basically a little time capsule from my first month(ish) in Singapore on exchange at NUS—aka me trying to survive the heat (“God, it’s hot”) while doing the most touristy-but-fun things. I’m starting off with snack hauls and convenience store finds (Jell-O/Oreo-ish biscuits, cheese curry chips that are kinda like Cheetos, classic Mama noodles, onion rings… I literally got so many), then I’m running around dealing with real life stuff like my laptop screen breaking and heading to the Apple Store. It’s giving exchange life chaos, but make it scenic—because at some points I’m just staring at the background like, why do I look like I’m in paradise? Food-wise, I was on a mission. I went on solo food adventures basically every day—Japanese market trips, Don Don Donki chicken omu rice + takoyaki for $8 (honestly not bad), and this cheese grape drink from Mish Mishe that was so good. I also did a mini beauty haul with a purple lip tint, micellar water, pimple patches, and a few eyeliners (including one for the waterline and one for tight lining). And of course, I squeezed in iconic Singapore moments like the Night Safari and trying laksa—where I realized the laksa here tastes super different from what I’ve had back in Vancouver.
