I was contacted by Epoium to test out their latest metal detector. It is a simple detector that is not water proof. The coil can go in water, but just like the Garrett Ace 250, "brains" of the detector cannot go in the water or it would be destroyed. Link for the Epoium Metal Detector: https://amzn.to/36NbeVd The PinPointer you see me use is a White's Bullseye TRX: https://amzn.to/3K56W9Z (FYI: Amazon affiliate links, of course) I really like the Epoium metal detector. It came as a great kit, which included a carry bag, utility shovel that folds, a large coil and a pair of headphones...and batteries were included with the kit I received. I was impressed with how good the detector did its job. It was very easy to start learning the numbers system after using it for only one hour. Even my 9 year old son (who was recording the video) was able to figure out that some numbers could predict a penny under the soil. Pros that I loved: Volume adjustments Numbers Specific metal classification discrimination Pinpoint mode Backlighting Lightweight. Cons I did not like: Headset is on the cheap side. I liked that you could change the volume setting, but they were not headphones I would want to wear for long periods of time. 9v batteries. I really like to use rechargeable batteries, so I'm going to have to find an alternative to the 9v batteries at some point in the near future.
