About This Video

In this vlog I’m moving to my new Toronto apartment while living alone, and I’m not going to lie—this was a rough one. I started with a “I’ll just move a few things myself” plan, then I realized if I’m paying movers anyway, why am I stressing myself out? So I boxed up what I could, moved some clothes and shoes over early, and started setting the new place up the way I like it—clean, bright, and fresh. I even brought a diffuser because I don’t want my apartment smelling like the previous tenant, you know? Moving day hit and I was still packing, juggling elevator bookings in two different buildings, and trying to avoid overtime fees. The movers wrapped everything properly and loaded a huge truck, and I honestly recommend using a good team if you’re doing this solo. The real chaos was the timing—I had a flight right after, and cleaning an empty apartment under pressure is not fun. My biggest takeaway: don’t move and travel back-to-back if you can avoid it, and if friends offer help, take it.
