In this video I’m showing a simple “IR hack” that I use to modify an IR file so it sounds different (and usually better) inside my NUX Cerberus MK I, especially with the newest firmware V5.1. The idea is super practical: instead of only swapping IRs, I take one IR I already like, bring it into my DAW (I’m using Logic Pro), and shape it like a real recording—then export it as a new IR-style WAV and load it back into the editor. I walk through the exact steps: import the IR into a new Logic session, do a little EQ (like a low cut), and if you want to go further, add effects I commonly use in recording—an exciter, or even a compressor with your own settings. After that, just bounce the file as a WAV (I suggest 48 kHz), rename it, and replace/import it back into the Cerberus IR slot. After doing this, my Cerberus MK I becomes very, very useful for me, and I’m honestly very satisfied with the tones I can get. It even works great with my bass IR use too.
