Hey everybody, Jimmy is Promo here, and in this video I’m breaking down the latest Samsung One UI 8.5 beta 3 update for the Galaxy S24 series (the build ending in ZZD…DDD). I’m a few days late because my S24 isn’t my daily driver, and we literally just had an update on April 12th. That last one brought AirDrop support for Apple devices and three new camera filters (Classic Film, Pop Film, and Blanc). This beta 3 is a bigger one at about 839MB, and it’s mainly focused on bug fixes plus a handful of Galaxy AI upgrades that Samsung didn’t clearly list—so I went and found what actually changed. On the bug fix side, Samsung addressed the incoming call screen showing late or going black, proximity sensor issues during calls, green lines when recording 4K HDR video in certain third-party apps, Bluetooth crash problems, and multi-touch issues after using accessibility magnification. Feature-wise, the big additions are the updated Creative Studio (now with new styles like childhood sketch and marker drawing), Call Screening inside Settings, and the huge one: Audio Eraser now works in third-party apps like YouTube and Instagram, including a Voice Focus mode when you crank the strength up. I also checked app versions (One UI Home, Camera, Gallery, AOD/Lock Screen) and they all bumped up, and if you notice battery drain, I recommend a restart and using Device Care since One UI 8.5 removed the clear cache partition option.
